Hiya, i dont suppose anyone knows how i can fix the daily in bug do they ? basically my website http://www.hdbabewallpapers.com is getting around 2500 unique visitors a day but on checking top friends it does'nt seem to be counting daily in anymore....i have cleared the cache and tried contacting the developer as i actually paid for this script when it was a paid for script but i think the owner has pretty much abandonded it :(

Where you have hosted your website ? Call your host and ask to whitelist record_friendsblock.php file..
Possible reason for counter not working is.. after a upgrade record_friendsblock.php file hits a security rule of the server..

hi Batu cheers for getting back to me mate, its not something my host usually do and i have a little experience and access to the sql is it somethign i could quite easily do myself ?

@liamb2001.. as per my experience, there is nothing you can do to fix this issue.. once for me the same issue happened and after spending couple of hours I found the actual cause..
Its better to ask your host, so that they can help you in this matter..
If you think.. there are some other issue.. then I would suggest to uninstall and install the friends module again..

Hi Batu, when i pasted your message to my host they said firstly that they didnt understand your message and secondly that they do not offer support on third party scripts anyway. I have been with these hosts for web designing services for years without a single problem on any of my sites and with hundreds of scripts and never had a problem at all.
I have tried removing the friends block as you mentioned and put it back but it doenst seem to have made any difference, could you possibly be a bit clearer as to what i need to do exactly ? and if you have edited the record_friendsblock.php would it be possible you send me yours please?

don;t know how to explain.. but when the same issue happened for me.. I tried to fix it by myself first.. but nothing happened..
then I pinged my host and they told.. one file is hitting one security rule.. and if I need, then they can whitelist the file..
after whitelisting the file, friends counter again started working like before..
FYI.. I have not done any changes to any file.. infact record_friensblock.php file doesn't exist .. Its just a file name which triggers one part of the code to be executed so that script will count the hits..

@liamb2001 if you using new version of script then contact adi for new version of friend management module and replace the old one with new. recently i had same problem but after contacting adi he gave me new friend module which solved my problem.
