   hi
   my site gets around 5k visitors/day, its running on a dedicated server, after a while the site is getting extremely slow.

   i found the reason to be a Mysql table
   getting very large, "ws_friends_referrals"
   now i run a crontab to clean this table everyday,
   is there a setting not to store these friends_referrals ?

   I have to do something similar, the friends block using an INSANE amount of CPU.

   I'll agree with you epicwallpaper, it can cause quite a pull if you use that feature!

   Update to the latest version of the script and the sql usage will drop significantly.

   I had the same problem.
