I too was using HostGator earlier and its good until you are not having heavy traffic but now I m having my own dedicated server and I m looking forward to carry few more sites because my personal site barely needs that processing power although it has reached the threshold traffic to get dedicated resources rather than shared hosting

Look Deepu , you need dedicated server when your site is having millions page views a month as shared hosting sites tend to slow down in such cases due to traffic surges at times and sites start getting even suspended for different reasons given by hosts such as excessive resource usage like SQL server etc.

This phenomeneon varies from host to host but my experience tells hostgator is better than others.

Now I ve got servers which are dedicated to wallpaper sites only. I ve got experience with all the current generation wallpaper scripts and thus optimised my servers for the same.

Now I started offering premium hosting rather than cheap shared unlimited hosting which is analogous to a Crowded Bus and a Chartered bus. We dont say we will give unlimited hosting space or bandwidth, we simply customise hosting plan as per requirement of a particular wallpaper site and can be increased incrementally.

We offer fixed plans , say 20 Gb space and 500 gb Bandwidth and now these resources would be dedicated to your site absolutely. We dont cramp sites on a server like unlimited cheap hosts, usually these servers have 1000-5000 sites but we have limited sites per server and strictly no overselling.

Hello,

I am with them, Read there for my very detailed reviews. As far as HostGator, they are good, but shared hosting are only good with low traffic sites, if you want to make your site popular, you should go with Dedicated Server or Powerful VPS.
