I have not been able to log in for a while and have tried going through my cpanel and change the password there. Its saying wrong username which doesnt make sense because it is admin. I must be doing something wrong here...All help is appreciated.

I tried that. I also went into phpmyadmin and changed the password in there. I lastly deleted everthing from my database and went through the install again and get a new password that way. Still saying wrong user for some reason.
